The Story Behind Woman in Finance™

Hello. My name is Hesy Landesbaum.

More than two decades ago, I made a decision that changed my life. I did not plan to build my future in another country. In Mexico City, I had my family, my friends, my career, and a path already forming. Then a New Yorker visited Mexico, our paths crossed, we fell in love, and I chose a new direction. I followed my heart and stepped into a life I had not mapped out.

Today, I am happily married and a mother of three. Since that move, I have spent over 20 years building my life and my career in the United States, navigating real responsibilities, tradeoffs, and decisions. I did not arrive with a perfect roadmap. I learned through experience, adjusted quickly, and created structure where I needed it most.

The Transition That Built My Standards

I did not start over with a blank slate. I already had a professional foundation. Still, I had to earn my place again in a new country, in a new market, and in a different professional culture.

I studied intensely, prepared seriously, and obtained the licenses required to work in one of the most important and competitive industries in the United States: financial services. Shortcuts were never part of the plan, and I treated the process with the seriousness it demands. Over time, I earned credibility through preparation, discipline, and execution, because in this industry, trust is earned.

That transition shaped how I operate to this day. It taught me how to turn uncertainty into a plan, and a plan into results.

The Hardest Classrooms Taught Me the Most

That commitment led me into corporate America in New York City, where I built my career inside high pressure financial institutions. Over time, I earned leadership roles, managed bank branches, and led teams of financial professionals.

Across two decades in the financial industry, I trained, coached, and developed talent. I also learned something permanent: when expectations are high, performance depends on structure. Discipline matters. Execution matters. Systems and measurable performance keep results consistent. Without that, clarity turns into noise.

What I Learned About Money and Growth

I did not grow up with “perfect” money conversations. In many families, money stays private, stressful, or ignored until something breaks. That is not about blame. It is reality.

As a result, many capable people reach adulthood with strong work ethic, yet without a clear understanding of how money works day to day. They want stability, growth, and peace of mind. However, what they often lack is not effort. It is structure.

The same pattern shows up in business. Many entrepreneurs have talent, strong products, and real potential. Yet without systems, growth becomes chaotic. Cash flow becomes unclear. Decisions become reactive. Progress slows down, not because people are failing, but because they are operating without a framework.

Why This Blog Exists

At a certain point, I took everything I learned and built my own firm: HEM Financial Group LLC. Over time, I expanded into multiple divisions because the needs were clear. Woman in Finance™ lives inside that ecosystem for one reason: I kept seeing the same gap again and again.

People do not need more random information. They need a clear way to think, decide, and execute consistently.

This work is not a side project for me. It is my life’s passion. I genuinely love what I do because I get to help people recalibrate their financial and business compass. When that compass is clear, decisions get cleaner. Priorities become sharper. Habits become more intentional. And the personal side improves as a consequence because money stops feeling like constant pressure and starts feeling like direction.

What You Can Expect Here

This blog is a space where I share how the money world actually works from both personal and business finance perspectives. You will find practical language, strategic frameworks, and structure you can apply to your decisions.

This is not personal financial advice and it does not replace a tailored plan. Your numbers, your risks, your timing, and your responsibilities are specific. What I provide here is perspective and structure so you can understand what is happening in your situation, name it faster, and make more informed decisions.

January Focus: Your 12 Month Money Plan

Because it is January, we start where direction matters most: your 12 month money plan.

January is not about fixing everything at once. It is about priorities and a structure you can return to even when life gets busy. Most people set goals every year, but far fewer build systems that can support those goals.

The Financial Vision Board™ Framework

This is where the Financial Vision Board™ comes in.

The Financial Vision Board™ is a proprietary five step execution framework I created to turn money decisions into structure, strategy, and disciplined follow through. It is designed to work in real life for both personal and business finances. It helps you organize the facts, define a target, build a realistic plan, execute consistently, and track what is working so you can adjust without overwhelm.

Throughout this month, the focus stays simple. Connect vision with numbers. Translate goals into decisions. Build a structure that supports momentum, not perfection.

The Power of a Consistent Structure

If you keep reading this blog, you will notice something intentional. Topics will change, but the framework will stay consistent. Debt, savings, cash flow, business growth, major transitions, and long term planning may look different on the surface. Still, the same structure applies.

That is how progress becomes sustainable. When you use the same framework again and again, you stop reacting and start leading your money. You make decisions with more clarity, and you execute with more consistency.

One Question to Start With

As you read, consider this:

What do I want my money to make possible this year, and what must change for that to happen?

I will continue sharing with the same standard I have always lived by: clarity, structure, and real execution.

Until next time, keep it clear and stay consistent.
